About the Level 2 First Aid Course in Melbourne with Training to Care
Training to Care offers a Level 2 First Aid course in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne at our campus, or onsite at your premises by special arrangement. HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (Level 2) is a Nationally Accredited Course that is conducted over one day with a take home, multiple choice Theory Assessment Workbook (Activity 8) which is to be completed prior to the day of training.
Whilst at our first aid level 2 course in Melbourne you will learn:
• How to manage an unconscious person
• How to communicate details of an incident
• AED
• About legal issues and infection control
• Rudimentary life support: DRABCD
• Wound and shock management
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
You will learn how to manage:
• Stings, bites and poisons
• Asthma, anaphylaxis and airway obstructions
• Sprains, strains and fractures
• Burns
• Spinal injury, head injury and chest injury
• Diabetes, epilepsy, fainting and drowning
• Heart attack and stroke
Assessment Activity 1-7 of the first aid certificate (Level 2) will be conducted on the day of training which will include practical demonstration, multiple choice questions and group work. On successful completion of the course an accredited certificate of attainment will be issued and is valid for three years thereafter.

Training is tailored for individuals and delivered at our comfortable rooms in Wantirna but arrangements can be made to deliver on-site training to groups and organisations at your workplace (conditions apply).

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
HLTAID001 Provide CPR (more commonly known as CPR Update or CPR Refresher) is a Nationally Accredited Course that is conducted over one 3 hour practical session. On successful completion of the course an accredited certificate of attainment will be issued. This qualification is valid for one (1) year from the date of issue.

Upgrading from HLTAID001 Provide CPR to HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Level 2
Any learner who has previously completed HLTAID001, has one year's validity remaining on the qualification and can provide evidence of this (by providing Training to Care with a copy of your original Statement of Attainment for HLTCPR211A or HLTAID001), is eligible to enrol in the Upgrading to HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (First Aid Level 2).
This course is conducted over 4.5 hours with a take home, multiple choice Theory Assessment Workbook (Activity 8) which is to be completed prior to the day of training.
Assessment Activity 1-7 of the first aid certificate (level 2) will be conducted on the day of training which will include practical demonstration, multiple choice questions and group work. On successful completion of the course an accredited certificate of attainment will be issued.

We would like to share our trainers experience with you by offering to conduct First Aid Training in your workplace for your employees. Our Level 2 First Aid Courses are conducted over one day with a take home, multiple choice Theory Assessment Workbook (Activity 8) and workbook to be completed prior to the day of training.
Assessment Activities 1 to 7 will be completed on the day on which training is delivered. These assessments incorporate demonstration and observation of life saving skills, multiple choice questions and group work.
